Free parking is available on the street or in the school parking lot.

  • Round 1 at 7:00 p.m.
  • Round 2 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Round 3 at 8:00 p.m.
  • Round 4 at 8:30 p.m.
  • Round 5 at 9:00 p.m.

Time format: 10 min NO increment

Refunds

  • You may request a full refund before registration closes

Byes

  • You may request a maximum of one ½ point bye
  • No byes on Round 5 (requests for a bye on Round 5 will be ignored, or you will receive a 0 point bye)

Playing Area

  • No food in the playing area
  • Silence is required in the playing area while games are in progress
  • All electronics capable of making noise, communicating, or playing chess must be powered fully off while playing

  • Vancity Chess may film certain games throughout the event. We always ask players involved for their permission.
  • Photos by spectators are allowed for the first 5 minutes of each round, but please be discrete and respectful to not disturb players
